ABH Optics Secures €1M to Innovate Eyeglass Lenses

ABH Optics, a Copenhagen-based company, has raised €1M in Pre-Seed funding led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) to develop the world’s thinnest and lightest eyeglass lenses.

• Innovative Technology: Founded in 2022, ABH Optics uses nanotechnology to create ultra-thin, lightweight, and eco-friendly lenses. Their proprietary tech allows for customization of optical power and structural defects.

• Target Audience: Catering to the 13% of eyeglass wearers with prescriptions over +/- 4 diopters, their lenses, even up to +/- 20 diopters, are less than 2 mm thick.

• Vision for the Future: CEO Bo Svarrer Hansen emphasized that this funding is a significant milestone for the company. He noted that their technology not only enhances the quality of life for individuals with high prescriptions but also aligns with their sustainability goals.
