New Sheriff in Tiki Town: Richard Trieu Pham

Our beloved Vietnamese e-commerce giant, Tiki, ushers in a new era with the appointment of Richard Trieu Pham as its new honcho.

Here's the tea:

• Changing of the Guard: Richard takes the reigns from founder Tran Ngoc Thai Son, who would now be orchestrating the symphony from the high chair of the Chairman.

• The Richard Saga: Pham isn't a new kid on the block. He joined the Tiki bandwagon in 2019, initially as the CFO and president. Presently, he's the mastermind behind Tiki's fintech, insurtech segments, and the Ticketbox platform, which Tiki gobbled up in 2019.

• The Funding Fiesta: 2021 saw Tiki bag a cool US$258 million in a series E round, with insurance heavy-hitter AIA leading the charge.

So here is to a new chapter in Tiki's journey. May the force be with Richard!
